Interested in joining UCS? We recommend following these steps to get started:

  1. Learn about UCS by browsing through this site and reviewing the resources available
  2. Put together your School Leadership Team
  3. Create your implementation plan. The PDF of application questions on the Funding Application page may help you with this process. 
  4. Apply for funding. The link to the application is located on the Funding Application page.
  5. Schedule a virtual meeting with our team at any point if you need support or want to talk through anything. Email us at UCS@SONJ.org with some days and times you’re available!

Requirements of UCS Schools

  • Implement all three components of UCS (this isn’t as difficult as it seems, promise!)
  • Complete required reports, surveys, and trackers.
  • Have at least one representative from your school participate in any required monthly meetings
  • Adhere to reimbursement criteria and guidelines
  • Implement a fundraiser to benefit your Unified activities or SONJ
  • High Schools are strongly encouraged to attend at least one Youth Summit per year
