Earn Money for Your School!
Cool Schools Challenges allow UCS schools to participate in select events while raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey AND their own school. Schools have the option to participate in person or virtually.
A portion of the money raised by the schools is returned as part of a revenue share to fund future UCS programming. The more money you raise, the more you will help your school!
- 50% of every dollar you fundraise over your registration fee goes back to your school!
- Every registered runner will receive a t-shirt and custom race bib.

Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5k – May 3
The Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5k is one of the most unique races in the country. This USATF certified 5k takes place mostly underwater and spans two states. The tollbooths in Weehawken, NJ mark both the start and finish of the race with participants turning around once they reach the New York City side of the tunnel.
Date: May 3, 2026
Location: Check-in and start line are located at 400 Blvd. East Weehawken, NJ. Virtual participation at your convenience is also supported.
Time: Check-in opens at 6am. Races begin at 8am and 8:45am.
